The group of 30 tourist we handled for two days, on January 2nd and 3rd 2014 was from Israel. With our guests we followed one of our favorite routes: Iasi – Sucevita – Radauti – Gura Humorului – Voronet Monastery – Piatra Neamt.
We started off from Iasi at 9 o’clock in the morning. We made our first visit around noon at the Ecvestru Park, in Sucevita, where our tourists had lunch at the wonderful three-star restaurant and watched a performance of the riders and their horses from sports club of Park.
We continued our journey with the tourists from Israel visiting Bukovina towards the Sucevita Monastery. After a half an hour visit we returned towards Radauti, first stopping at the Marginea Black Pottery center. The tourists bought quite a few souvenirs handmade in Romania, especially local objects, made by artisans and it was quite difficult to convince them to return to the coach so we could go to the hotel.
The overnight was spent at, of course, at The Gerald’s Hotel, our favourite hotel in Bukovina. Our guests appreciated the buffet menu, the spacious and modern rooms and especially, the service.
In the morning, after a tasty breakfast at the hotel, we left for Gura Humorului and Voronet, where we visited the monastery. We would have loved to visit the Jewish Temple in Radauti, but we had to change our plans due to a misfortunate event that made it impossible for the administrator of the temple to get to Radauti.
For lunch, we stoped at the five-star El-Quatro Boutique Hotel in Voronet, where our hosts offered us a feast for lunch, much, much more than you would expect from a menu for a leisure group, at an incredibly good price. We will come back again, for sure!
